If readers like these three books, and these three movies, they’ll most likely enjoy your book. What are those movies and books?

This is a hard one. I would say due to the paranormal romance aspect of the book, if readers liked the Twilight Saga and movies, they would like Shadowed Strength. Though there are no vampires, there are other supernatural aspects. The Darkness Rising series by Kelley Armstrong is another.

Is this book a part of a series? Which part in the series is it, and how many are there/will there be in the series?

This is Book 1 of the Shadowed Series. There will be three, with Book 2, Shadowed Instincts releasing in December.

What’s an aspect of your book, be it plot, character, political commentary, or so on, that people might not expect to be there just by reading the description or looking at the cover?

Protagonist Melanie has self esteem and image issues. Through her relationships and experiences, she discovers self-worth and finds the strength and beauty inside herself.

What inspired you to write this story?

I was inspired to write this story by my own experiences in high school. Though I never had to go through a traumatic event like Melanie, many of her physical and personality traits are based on me. Her growth and eventual self acceptance are what I always wished for myself.
