Birthday Nostalgia + Canadian Roadtrip

I’m going to keep the text in this post short and sweet today, because I talk a lot in these videos and I don’t want to take up your entire day.

I’m pretty proud of these videos. Did you know I’m actually trained in film? At university, I also studied creative writing and journalism (and psychology and marketing and theatre and biology and science fiction and graphic design because I just took whatever random classes sounded interesting), but first and foremost my degree was in making videos, from scripting to shooting to editing them, and all the annoying bits in between.

(Like dealing with people. That was the worst part by far. Not people like you, though. You’re lovely.)

I still really enjoy making videos, especially over on my YouTube channel. I’ve been a bit out of the swing of it lately, though I’ve still put up videos semi-weekly and sometimes more often. It’s a really nice community of readers and writers over there and it’s so nice to share stuff with them and watch everyone else’s videos and hear about their writing projects. It’s a very supportive little community, and I spend at least an hour a day procrastinating by watching other people talk about writing. It’s lovely.

My apologies for being so vomit-inducingly sincere in this post. See? I told you I shouldn’t have written anything. But, you know, being an author and all I always feel like I should probably attach words to these posts.

I’m old now! I made a video about it. And I also finally edited a video from when I was much younger. OK, a year younger. It features a bear! If that doesn’t make you want to watch it, I don’t know what will.

I’m also going to add a video that’s not mine called ‘Years Years Bears’, because it just seems oddly well-suited to this post. Plus it’s just an enjoyable, weird song, and you know how much I love things that are enjoyable and weird.

Did you enjoy this post? If you haven’t picked up your 2 free novels, free novella and 2 exclusive extras, head over to the Free Stuff page and grab them now.
